Finally a practitioner who's walked in your shoes.

Educated and experienced…

Let me tell you about the moment everything changed.

Nearly ten years ago, I sat in my hospital room connected to a 96-hour chemo infusion. The new doctors in the oncology fellowship came in gawking at me. “We’ve never seen this type of cancer before!” They took the time to listen. They heard me talk about all that I was doing to grab the reins on my health.

And then I asked…

“How much nutrition education do you get in med school?”

Their answers shocked and disturbed me.

There was a huge knowledge gap—not just during treatment, but regarding how to heal afterwards.

It turns out time, on its own, doesn’t heal all wounds. It takes intentional nutrition, supplementation, and nervous system healing, none of which I got from my team of top doctors.

No one was talking about sleep or food or stress or detoxification or the fact that my nervous system had been in full-blown crisis for a long time.

They were looking at my labs. They were not looking at me.

While my hair was still growing back, I started training to become a

Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner.

I ugly cried in front of my whole class when I got my certificate.

All of the suffering that led me to this place was worth it because I get to help you.

This. This is what I was supposed to do.

Hi, I'm Karianne!

AND I’M A FIRM BELIEVER THAT HEALING DOESN'T ALWAYS HAVE TO LOOK SHINY, POSITIVE, OR PICTURE-PERFECT.

I work with women who have been through the health wringer — cancer, autoimmune conditions, chronic illness, major injury — and are ready to stop just surviving and start actually building something new in the body you live in now.

I live in Spokane, Washington, where I spend as much time as possible on the water (seriously, if there's a lake nearby I will end up in it), making pottery, singing loudly in my kitchen, and being mom to my seven-year-old son, who is hands-down my favorite person.

Person standing on a large rocky cliff by the ocean, doing a yoga pose with one arm raised, overlooking the water with waves crashing below.
A woman and a young boy sitting on a quilt outdoors, smiling, with trees in the background.

I'm also a single mom. A cancer survivor. I’ve had to rebuild my life more than once and have learned — often the hard way — that rebuilding is actually kind of a superpower.

I share all of this because I want you to know: I am not speaking to you from some glossy place of "I figured it all out." I am on this journey with you. I just happen to also have the training, credentials, and lived experience to help guide you along the way.

MOST WELLNESS PRACTITIONERS DON’T REALIZE…

your body and your emotions are not two separate entities.

They are inextricably bound. And that can be a beautiful thing!

The reason your digestion flares up when you're stressed isn't a coincidence. The reason you can follow a protocol perfectly for two weeks and then completely blow it isn't a character flaw. The reason you reach for the chips at 10pm isn't a willpower problem.

It's your nervous system. It's your emotional patterns. It’s your body asking you for something that it needs (the chips are just a clue, not the actual need). It's the deeply human way that what we feel drives what we do — and it’s all connected to what our bodies are able to heal from.

I am one of very few practitioners weaving nutritional therapy and somatic nervous system work together — because I genuinely believe you cannot fully heal one without addressing the other. This isn't a theory for me. It's something that I am practicing in everyday life.

Here's the official stuff…

(But honestly? The credential I lean on most is the one that isn't on any certificate — it comes from having lived it.)

MY VALUES

What to expect:

Expect honesty. I will tell you the truth, even when it's not what you want to hear.

Expect compassion. I will never shame you for your choices, your setbacks, or the days you just couldn't. I've had those days, too.

Expect to laugh. I know that sounds weird for a wellness practitioner, but I genuinely believe healing doesn't have to be so serious all the time. There will be jokes (and music). You've been warned.

Expect to be seen. Not as a diagnosis. Not as a set of symptoms. As a whole, complex, capable human being who is doing something really hard — and doing it anyway.

Expect practical. We're not building a perfect wellness routine here. We're building something that actually fits your real life — ADHD-friendly hacks and all.

"You simply won’t meet someone like Karianne in the wellness space. Someone who cares so deeply, listens to deep concerns, and has experience, knowledge, and tools to help.”

A few things you should probably know about me before we work together:

If you've read this far, I'm guessing something here resonated. Maybe you recognized yourself in my story. Maybe you're exhausted from practitioners who haven't quite gotten it. Maybe you’re struggling to make peace with a body that requires a lot more care than it used to. Maybe you're just ready.

Whatever brought you here — I'm glad you came.

Your body is wise. Healing is possible. And joy absolutely belongs in the process.
